Figurative

As I was approaching the 6th decade of my life, my artistic journey became more introspective and emotional.  The foundation of my photography continued to emphasize the elegance of light, the sincerity of contour lines and abstract shapes, but this time through self portraiture. The chiaroscuro lighting is of key importance to me, because it isolates the true essence of the figure. The beautiful mystery of an unknown result while setting a timer and positioning myself was the other driving force for me.
